On-going Programs

Youth For Dagat Program
2024-2025
Youth for Dagat is an FPUA-led initiative under the French Embassy’s Blue Nations program, designed to empower youth as climate leaders and advocates for ocean sustainability and the circular economy. Funded with a €25,000 grant, the program launched in two phases.
Phase 1 featured educational events, boat visits to the Plastic Odyssey vessel, coastal cleanups, and entrepreneurship workshops. In Phase 2, the Youth for Dagat Ambassador Program was introduced, engaging over dozens of students from several Metro Manila universities through training sessions, networking events, factory tours, and ongoing webinars.
Ambassadors are tasked with driving change in their communities, organizing sustainability events, and implementing plastic waste solutions through design thinking workshops and the deployment of eco-bins.
Educational Assistance Program
2017-Present
Since 2017, FPUA, in partnership with Children of Asia (CoA), has provided holistic educational support to underprivileged students from the FPUA rehabilitation sites in Barangays Agujo and Paypay, Daanbantayan, Cebu.
The program supports one senior high school student and eleven college scholars, covering tuition, school expenses, and regular social worker follow-ups. CoA ensures close coordination with families and schools, offering socio-educational guidance to help students thrive academically and reduce financial strain on their households, ultimately empowering them to complete their education and build brighter futures.
